RANCH

George's Ranch was established more than 20 years ago and though our trail rides remain an important part of our working day, our days have become a whole lot busier after we began to produce not only happy hackers, but also world class riders.

Needless to say, this was a huge occasion for us and we were thrilled to represent Cyprus at such a prestigious event, but competitions are only part of the story – and at George's Ranch we consider every one of our horses and ponies to be superstars, from our old rescues to our young hopefuls.

In hindsight it's probably no surprise to see how far the Ranch has evolved over the years because horses have never been a business to us, but rather a passion. As a result, a paddock and tie-up area for eight local ponies has developed into an equestrian centre that has become the pride of the island after our riders secured the FEI World Dressage Challenge title for Cyprus.

George's Ranch boasts two purpose-built top quality arenas, complete with drainage systems, that provide for all-year-round riding.

Both arenas are of excellent quality with our dressage arena surfaced with G-Tech Fibre imported from Europe and our jumping arena has the best quality sand surface with fully installed sprinkler systems and lighting. Both arenas are professionally maintained on a regular basis to ensure optimum conditions for the maximum safety and health of our horses and riders.

All the paddocks are made of ultra-modern flexi-rail combined with electric fencing. Although we all dream of seeing our horses run wild, the sad fact of life here in Cyprus is that the ground is simply too hard to safely allow our horses that freedom. For this reason, the paddocks are large enough to give our horses room to roll and play in, but small enough to keep their more boisterous impulses contained.

George's Ranch has 19 paddocks that allow all of our horses to get much-needed downtime.

Where guests and clients can relax with a cool drink while enjoying a prime view of both the dressage and jumping arenas.

There is also an alarmed tack room and changing area, tack shop and toilets

Every horse deserves a courteous rider and that is why we take our training seriously. In fact, we take horse and rider safety so seriously we encourage all clients to take advantage of our one-to-one tuition with internationally-qualified instructors in high-performance sand arenas.
